78 participants played with great weather conditions and spectacular scenery.

As the person responsible for the city’s construction and founding member of the Zell am See golf club, Mr. Wilhelm Holleis met Don Harradine in 1982.

A close friendship developed after that first meeting. Engineer Holleis re-collected their friendship and fruitful team work at a time when the game of golf was not known and investors were very rare.

The greenkeeper’s companions were treated to a guided tour of Salzburg whilst the greenkeepers themselves got down to the serious business of playing golf.

As one of the “leading golf courses” the course was obviously in an excellent condition especially for that tournament which was being played by maintenance specialists.

All the participants congratulated the course superintendent Mr. Rieder Franz who was ably helped by his assistants Sulzer Albert and Hetz Manfred.

The course president Dr. Erwin Prodinger awarded the trophies.

Music, dance and a great atmosphere ensured a fantastic evening!
