The first flight started at 09.30 am just as the first rays of sunshine started to show themselves over the majestic mountains.
92 participants played that year and included Irishman Joe Bedford who was the president of the Federation of European Golf Green Keepers Association (FEGGA). Unfortunately, Babette and Peter Harradine could not attend but were deservingly represented by Babette’s grandson, Michael who not only plays like a champion but will most probably step into his grandfather’s and father’s footsteps.

The togetherness, reminiscing and general exchange of ideas are definitely the most important factors during this tournament which is becoming more and more popular as the years go by. |
